HAPPY TAILS

Happy tails from animals in their new homes!

We love hearing how our animals are doing in their new homes with their forever families. Here are some of the more recent updates we've received. Please note that additional happy tails are on display at the shelter.

If you have a happy "tail" to share about an animal that came from the Cape Ann Animal Aid,
please e-mail your story and a digital photo (if possible) to info@capeannanimalaid.com
Stories and photos can also be mailed to the CAAA at 260 Main St., Gloucester, MA, 01930.
Please note that stories may be edited for length.

Hello,
My name is Katrina Nevin. Back on December 21st my mother and I came into the shelter to adopt Alfie. We had seen his picture on your website and he looked just too much like my Puerto Rican pup "Aleida" for me to ignore the similarity. We fell in love instantly and after a week of adjusting to having a little brother, Aleida fell in love too :) now after 7 weeks we are a family. My boyfriend Anthony and I are so happy to have added Alfie to our lives. We have been in touch with Jessica, Alfie's foster mother in Puerto Rico, and she is thrilled for the outcome of Alfie's tale as well. We go on lots of walks in the woods, on the beach and through the snow. Although he still barks hysterically at anything he deems to be unusual (such as our friends stopping by for a visit) he has mostly adjusted to life with a cat, 25 chickens and 18 ducks! Thank you so much for bringing all these wonderful dogs (and cats!) out of obscurity and giving them another shot at a star-crossed life with the people who love them!

in gratitude,

-Katrina, Anthony, Aleida and Alfie

Dear Cape Ann Animal aid people,
Here is a photo of our kitty, Bastet, who was adopted by us in November 2011. She is a very athletic and active cat.
We have three flights of stairs in our house and she often races up and down them at a full speed!
She is a long elegant cat who is very friendly but not a lap cat.. She loves to play with any kind of string or toy.
Bastet looks very much like a black panther when she is stalking and ready to pounce.
Here is a photo of her in a quiet moment.

Thanks again for taking care of her before we adopted her.

Hi everyone,

I want to thank you for sheltering Mcmaxi and keeping him safe until my family brought him home. He is doing great. We just love him to death. My eight year daughter loves playing with him, petting his belly, or rubbing him under his chin. Our dog Dora is also a lover of Max, (I shortened his name). They love to play and Max sleeps on Dora’s bed in the livingroom. Ha..ha. They also share a big bowl of water. Thank you again for having Max...I hope his sister found a great home too.

him and Dora napping together.

Thank you,

We adopted Dino (aka Dwynne, a SATO) about 4 years ago (March 31, 2008) and he has been the
best thing that has happened to us. He trained very quickly and he is such a good dog. Great with
people and other dogs. He has his own play group. I take him every day at a nearby conservation
area in Waltham where he runs around and explores with his canine friends..
Check out his pics I have attached.
Thank you for choosing us to be his family. We love him so much!

Dear Cape Ann Animal Aid,

We just wanted to send you a quick note about Pico (formerly Moe).  He has adjusted to his new home well and we are so happy to have him as a member of our family.  He loves to go on hikes with us and to play with other doggies.  He's grown quite big since we adopted him (and has a ways to go yet), but he still likes to think of himself as a lap puppy.  He's outgrown his Mohawk, but he's still one cutie-Pi!  He sends his best wishes to all of his siblings out there and to his family at Cape Ann Animal Aid!

Dear Cape Ann Animal Aid.

Gloucester resident Erin Caniff took this picture of me and Humphrey (who I adopted from CAAA in...
gosh was it 2006!) a few days ago in California where we live part time (and in Annisquam the other part!).

I thought you would appreciate it.

He's my best pal. Thank you for saving him and adopting him to me.

Happy New Year to all!

Wanted to update you on Happy.

We renamed him Loco as he has quite a spunky personality!! Our house resembles a mini tornado as soon as he awakens each a.m. !! Forgot what it's like to have a younger dog around. Loco has settled in quite nicely and provides lots of wet kisses to everyone!

Here are a few pics from Christmas. He couldn't wait to open his presents from Santa.
Thank you for the newest addition to our family!

Hello,

Thought we would share some (mostly) recent pictures of the 2 pets we adopted from Cape Ann Animal Aid on 7/25/09.
Both James (CAAA name: James) and Whiskers (CAAA name: Suzanne) have added tremendous joy to our lives and
are very happy to be in a great home. Of course they are tremendously spoiled, so that helps! As you can probably
tell from the pictures, they spend a lot of time in the master bedroom!

I was going to mail a couple of these with the donation my company made on my behalf recently (Ipswitch, Inc.),
but they didn't seem to come out great on photo paper. Probably better to get digitally anyway. In any event,
it was hard picking just a few out of the dozens and dozens we have. Plus, we aren't exactly professional photographers either!

Anyway, thank you for all you do. We will continue to support your efforts as best we can.

Thank you,

Mike & Brenda

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from Enzo, Napoleon and Burrito (a.k.a. - Buddy, Jalopy and Dunlop)! :)

Enzo and Napoleon spend a lot of time at our farm in NC. They are getting used to the horses. Napoleon is fascinated by Comet at the window. They both love to RUN, RUN, RUN. Burrito will come down with us for a while after Christmas. Burrito lives most of the year in NY city with my daughter, who is a junior at NYU. He has become known a celebrity around town. He has been in an APP ad (coming out in February), kennel christmas card (I will mail you a copy) and has been asked to be in a Nickelodeon show (he unfortuneately has to wait on that, they wanted him to be off a leash in the city...not going to work. They said they will call when they have something to film in the studio)!

They are all amazing dogs! We are having so much fun with them all! Thank you!

Have a wonderful New Year!

Hello C-triple A! An update on little Lyra, she settled in very well when I brought her home 2 months ago, as if she'd been home the whole time. :) I kept her name, I thought it was very cute and it suited her. She's doing very well, she's a curious, playful, rambunctious little girl but also very sweet and affectionate. She loves watching the fish tank or curling up in my lap while I work.

Here's a few pictures, One was after 5 weeks after we brought her home (watching the fish tank), you can see how much bigger she got. The last one is a recent "LolCat" pic of her (popular website of funny cat pictures if you haven't heard of it).

Thank you, I hope all the other kittens have also found good homes. Happy Holidays!

Hello,

I just wanted to send a little updated on my two dogs: Morris and Mattie (formerly Singer) that we adopted from Cape Ann Animal Aide. My husband and I are in LOVE with them both and they have become best of friends. I'm attaching some pictures :-)

Thank you so much for making their adoptions possible

It has been a little over a month since we made Jag a part of our family and we wanted to say thank you for all you do especially for allowing us the opportunity to complete our family. He has a heart murmer but we have taken all necessary steps to helping him live his life to the fullest and now he acts more like an energetic puppy than an old man. People commend us for adopting a dog who is 12 years old and giving him a new shot at life, but ultimately, it is Jag who has fulfilled our lives and is a perfect member of our family. Jag has made some great friends in the neighborhood and loves going to the dog park to run. Every day is a new adventure with Jag and we always look forward to the next. Again, thank you for all you do and thank you for our love!

Patrick, Jen and Jag

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to let you know that I love my new home. My sister Chassis and I love playing in the fenced in yard on the nice days. Our favorite game is tug of war. Mom and dad have been trying to talk us into playing with this special tug of war toy but we prefer the ones with lots of stuffing so we can make our yard look like it has snowed. We also like just lazing around on our couch which did you know that some mom's make you your own blanket? I am very happy in my new furever home and I only hope that all of my four legged friends at the Cape Ann Animal Aide find as nice of a family as I did.

Hello to all the wonderful people at Cape Ann Animal Aid. Grimm has been so happy here and he has been such a loving and playful kitten. He is so well socialized and trusting. I can't imagine a better kitty. He's eating his Science Diet, drinking lots of water, using his box and enjoying all his toys, scratching post, and cat tree. He is spending a rare day sleeping all day today (Thanksgiving Day) as pictured here on his blanket on the couch. Thank you again for such a wonderful animal.

Dear Cape Ann Animal Aid!

I'm not sure if you remember my boys, they were only with you for 5 days before we adopted them! I came in with my mother, best friend and moms best friend Roberta Carter, she used to volunteer with you guys! She recommended that we meet your pups, so we did! We couldn't be happier! Beau and Luke go everywhere together, they do everything together, they bark at the same, run out the door side by side, and sleep in either my bed or mom's bed! It's always a battle who gets the boys at night, because they are such little snuggle bugs! They absolutely LOVE our huge fenced in yard, it's like pulling teeth to get them to come back in! They've met so many new friends, I'm a dog walker, so I bring lots of buddies over to play with them during the day! They do have a best friend, her name is Gracie and she is a pitbull mix, and they just love her to no end! We really can not thank you guys enough for rescuing these two boys! They were the greatest addition to our little family, and it was the best decision we've ever made. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Much love and many tail wags,
Deb, Lindsey, Beau and Luke

I just wanted to send a quick email to say "THANK YOU" for my wonderful new puppy, Bailey (f/k/a Cupie). She is a better puppy than I could have ever hoped for. She sleep through the night (as long as she's on the bed...), travels everywhere with me (great in the car and just starting to try to stick her head out the window), gets along with ALL dogs she has met and is just the bees knees!!! It feels like she's been a part of our family forever! I love her so much! Thank you again!!

Attached are a few pictures of Bailey and a picture with her new friend, Zoey.

Hello All!

I just wanted to write and let you all know what a wonderful friend we have found in Shanty- now Bertie Mae! Bertie is settling in flawlessly at home and joins me daily at my shop where she is learning all about violins, cellos and basses. She loves to go on walks and LOVES when I take her to the park to fetch-she has endless amounts of energy! She now knows how to sit and lay down on command, and she is getting tons of treats and lots of love(sometimes so much that it keeps me from my work!)

Thank you for all that you do for our animal friends and trusting us with this precious little girl.

Happy Holidays, we have a lot to be thankful for!

Zachary, Sara, and Bertie Mae

I am so grateful to have found Aurora! I immediately wrote a "poem" about some of the: I. Best Cats in my past life, as a prelude to finding her (without knowing I was looking for her). And, am working on: II. From Adoption to Adaptation to describe some of the process of her settling in with us. An amusing sequence of photos illustrates some of this.
Then, there are the: III. Post Notes which include some of what I have since learned about the genetic influence on tortoiseshells, calicos and torbeys; as well as how well Savanna and Aurora have adapted to one another.

The slow part is that the animals have been quite comfortable with one another--with many touching initiatives to become closer friends (many proffered by Aurora, though she then acts as though she has to deny this), but their coming together for relaxed proximity for any length of time is taking as long as we might expect of bright beings--little by little, day by day. So we have focused on patient pursuit, rather than forced poses.

Therefore, I have accumulated many words worth of appreciation; and intend even more. And we have lots of individual photos--and some of Aurora inviting Savanna to play--from a height advantage--and a few of the two of them, together.

Absolutely loving and beautiful work being done, there. We have been very grateful beneficiaries of your efforts and such caring, clean, and wellness promoting (recognizing toys and play as as essential as spaying, immunizations, and preventive treatments) practices.

Thank you, thank you, thank you--all!!! But, especially for the courage and caring of fostering a "Momma" and her babies for the time it takes for weaning; and then being willing to let go of the animals you are able to love that much!

In the pursuit of a "full package" of appreciation, I have appeared to be leaving you all up in the air!

I hope this assures you that we are extremely appreciative (and brag about) CAAA's care and services; and are delighted that so many people have already loved and cared for Savanna and recognize her with great pleasure; and can immediately connect with the more and more people we meet who are accompanied by their own beloved companion/s provided by you--while I struggle to get more and better photos which can simply meet your requested purpose.

Cheers, and enormous gratitude to all who care so lovingly for the animals that are fortunate enough to come through the Cape Ann Animal Aid doors.

To our friends at Cape Ann Animal Aid, Just a quick note about our recent adoption of Rachel (AKA Dakota) last week on Friday Nov 11th. Dakota is doing great and getting comfortable with her new family. Her transition over to us has been flawless and I never anticipated it could go so well. She has been eating and sleeping very well as well as getting plenty of exercise with walks and playing in the yard with the kids. Dakota has been a perfect little lady with no jumping, biting, barking, or chewing- although she has had a few "accidents" in the house. We will keep working on that. We are so excited to have her as part of our family now. Thank you for the help in the adoption process- See attached photo of the kids and Dakota. We will be sure to keep checking in and updating pictures with you. Kind Regards,The Spencer's

We adopted a puppy from your shelter called Yuri. We have renamed her Lucy and she is such a wonderful and well loved puppy! They boys, Harrison is shown here, are totally in love and can’t wait to play with her each day.

The boys would love to know more about her story before she came to the shelter. One person mentioned that she was from Puerto Rico from a litter of puppies rescued from the street. Could we find out more about that litter?

Thank you so much for the wonderful service you provide. We are so happy and so is Lucy!

Sincerely,

The Dorrs

Hi Cape Ann Animal Aid,

We are so in love with Mookie (formerly "Dewey"). We adopted Mookie right around Easter time this year. He had just been brought to the shelter with several brothers from Puerto Rico. As soon as we met him we knew he had to be ours! He's a little over 8 months old now and close to fifty pounds and still growing! He keeps us very busy, always needs attention and tons of love. He tends to get himself into some mischief but all in all he is a great dog. He has a great personality and always can make us laugh with his silliness. We recently took him to puppy school where he graduated from beginner dog training. Mookie has been a great addition and we highly recommend adopting a rescue dog like our Mookie from Cape Ann Animal Aid. :)

Hi! Maybe you remember me when I was just a wee pup at the shelter. My name back then was Little Jack. I was only 3 months old in February of this year when I came to live in my forever home, My human family changed my name to Bilko. I think that's more appropriate than "Little" anything since I now weigh about 80 lbs and am still growing! I love everyone I meet and can't wait for the city to lift their silly ban and let me and my doggie friends come and play on the beach. Meanwhile, I can clear a coffee table with one swish of my tail and tell my human family that I love them with one swipe of my tongue. I know all of my basic commands, but need to work on treating them as commands and not polite requests. I'm sure I'll do better when I'm just a little bit older. Everyone says I'm quite handsome. What do you think? Thanks to everyone at the shelter for taking such good care of me when I was a baby.

To everyone at Cape Ann animal Aid:

Adopting Cocoa was the best and most rewarding thing I have ever done. To see the progress that Cocoa has made over the few weeks is remarkable and it really demonstrates how much difference love can make on an animal.
For those who don't know, Cocoa was very shy and timid before I adopted her. She had anxiety and at the time was taking anxiety medication for her nerves. She was somewhat receptive to me when I met her for the first time, however I knew it was going to take a lot of work and love for her to trust me. It was clear that she had trust issues and had some type of trauma that affected her perception of our world.
Since then, Cocoa is a complete different dog. She is friends with all the neighborhood dogs and is very playful and energetic when they greet her on the street. Most importantly, she has a best friend in my mothers German Shepherd. Cocoa spent 10 straight days with my mothers shepherd, Mason, when she went away on vacation. This was probably one of the most helpful things in her coming out of her shell. We visit my mom and Mason every weekend. Sometimes we take the dogs to the beach and Cocoa runs around the beach free and is so happy. Other times we just play in the back yard and let them spend time together and run. It really is great to see how she has built trust in not only me, but my family as well. This past Saturday, Cocoa and I joined my mother and Mason at a German Shepherd Rescue walk with about 100 other dogs.
Cocoa has really learned to trust me. She is the highlight of my day and the unconditional love that she provides is worth everything it is believed to be. I am so happy that I have given her a life she deserves and looking forward to my future with her.

"I rescued my best friend"

Dear CAAA,

We adopted Giallo, now Rusty, about this time last year. He is one of the best dogs we've ever had and I can't imagine a sweeter pooch. Rusty is such a love, very cuddly and obedient. He loves going to the beach, and he's never met a dog he didn't automatically want to be best friends with. I'm so grateful to CAAA for my little sato!

Love,

The Angelini

Dear Friends,
Today, Louie, the miniature poodlle and I celelbrate our one year anniversary with Eloise (formerly Sheila). On behalf of Louie and Eloise, I write to convey our deepest thanks for your part in making us a family. Eloise has become the perfect companion to Louie. They are so deeply bonded and I am so very happy to have them in my life. As you may remember, Louie was a Cape Ann dog four years ago. I felt blessed then to find him. My poodle Shemesh who had been with me since he was 8 weeks old, had died a month before at the age of 16. Louie helped me to overcome that pain and loss. Then a year ago, seeing Eloise on your website, I thought, quite suddenly, "Louie, let's go meet her." We did and the rest was history when Louie upon sniffing Eloise, attempted to pee on her three times! He was telling me she needed to be a member of our pack. I remember briefly thinking, "what am I doing?" but I've not had a second thought since the moment she drove home with me.
Eloise is 8 pounds and a year and half. She is a clown, joyful, happy all the time. We go to a dog park near our home and everyone knows Louie and Eloise, but it's Eloise who is the princess of the park. She happily runs to greet all the dogs, no matter how big or small. She has befriended even the biggest dogs that the others tend to stay away from. When approaching a dog she hasn't yet met, she runs up to them and immediately flips on her back to let them smell her, then she pops back up and runs circles around them. It looks like she's thinking, "I want to be your friend and I won't take no for an answer." She's even made friends with the most crotchety dog in the park, a 17 year old chihauha named Gretta. Gretta snarls and snaps at any dog that approaches, but Eloise doesn't take no for an answer and has wormed her way into Gretta's life as well.
I have attached photos of Eloise and Louie to share with you. I'm a mediocre photographer, but, the pics will give you an idea. There's an old joke about being a poodle in a Jewish woman's home and I smile to myself when I think about that. Thanks to all of you at Cape Ann, you have filled my life with so much love and joy when you helped me to adopt Louie and Eloise. They are my family and I will always be indebted to you all for bringing us together.

With untold appreciation,

Deena, Louie and Eloise

Hello Cape Ann Animal Aid!

I wanted to thank you and send an update on Fresca and Inky who are now 1-year old! We named Fresca, Lynx and Inky, Miss Luna Boots. My boyfriend Nate and I don't know what we'd do without our sweet little girls!
Lynx is such a doll, like a big baby unless she's hunting a toy. And Luna is a sweet little girl who loves to be petted but never liked being held. She's the more vocal one and has the tiniest little meow!

In December we all moved up the North Shore, to a cat-friendly apartment in Ipswich, and we all love it. The kittens have a nice scratcher perch they like to watch the birds from and it's great for exercising their claws on (They're VERY good about not scratching the couch!) They also have many other toys =) We take them to Muddy Creek Animal Care Center nearby in Rowley and they board there too when we travel. We adore and love them both so much and we can't thank you enough for rescuing them for us! I've attached two pictures of each, the first ones were from back in November when they were babies and the others are from their first birthdays. Enjoy!
Many Thanks,
Christina and
Nathaniel

We renamed Wizard the first week we got him. His new name is Shadow and he is very happy in his new home. He loves to play with our other 2 yr old female cat, Smokey and our two children, Kevin (8yrs old) & Caitlyn (almost 7yrs old). Shadow is very active and playful. He especially loves to wrestle with Smokey, chase lasers and play with string. He is still somewhat shy when it comes to letting us pick him up or pet him. He does come up to us often but does not let us touch him very much. He still seems to be getting more brave in that area as time goes by though. If you have any suggestions to help with this please let me know. He also eats well so he's getting bigger too.

Hi,

This is Buster (formerly called Yamuel) with our other dog Scout. Things are going well since we adopted Buster on Wednesday. Scout is the more dominant dog which is fine with Buster. Scout is a bit confused with the new crazy ball of energy, but each day they are interacting more.

Thanks for letting us add Buster to our family.

Sincerely,
Linda

Hello!

It's been well over a year since we adopted Mandi (November 2009). She's a very active girl, and loves every human she meets! She also lives with her brother, Tank the cat, who just turned 1 in June, they get along quite well and often wrestle each other (sometimes I wonder if they both think they are the same species) but they also like to share space on our bed at night - Mandi is an especially great snuggler, she wants to be as close to your face as possible :) as she prefers to be under the covers with her head on the pillow ... seriously.

Thanks so much for bringing Mandi into your shelter - we are so happy to have found her that day!! When we met her at your old space, she was the last one left (perhaps because of her heart murmur, which upon her first check up was not present :) ) but I hope her brothers and sisters are all doing well!!

Best,
Courtney and Shane

Hello to everyone @ Cape Ann:

I thought I would send you an update of Buddy who loves to lay on the top of my couch and look out the window. He is such a good dog - and spoiled!!! I have heard that he looks like he is part chihuahua, jack russell terrier, beagle and corgi. He is about 18-20 lbs. and a strong lil' guy let me tell you. We are hoping to make it to one of Cape Ann's Reunions or fundraisers soon.

Thank you again for doing positive things for these animals. They need you.

My best,

Laura

Dear CAAA and C.A.R.I.,

Last Saturday my family visited CAAA and fell in love with Dante. The six days since then have been absolutely wonderful. Dante (now known as Echo) is a wonderful dog. He is calm, affectionate and quick to learn. He has acclimated well to our lifestyle and now handles elevators, stairs, traffic, children, strangers, strange dogs & car rides like a pro. He loves playing fetch and swimming in the Mystic lakes or any body of water we'll let him jump into. While we agree with your guess of Labrador Retriever/Plott mix we are having a great time referring to him as a mutt so that we can hear the great litany of breed guesses. So far we have heard that he must be part Doberman, Rottweiler, German Shepherd, Whippet, Schnauzer and/or Coonhound. Thanks to both of your organizations on a job well done and ensuring that Echo could rescue us.

best,
Maria

7/21/11 Update on "Roberta"

I brought "Roberta" home from CAAA on 5/1/11. I have re-named her Maisy and she is just the sweetest
thing. She was only 6lbs when I adopted her, but now she is probably up to 9lbs (haven't taken her
to the vet yet, but will make an appt soon), she wouldn't eat much at first, but now is chowing down
on a regular basis. She was extremely shy and timid when I got her, and I was warned that it could
take a year or more for her to come out of her shell, she spent the first few days hiding, but has
been getting more and more brave every day. She sleeps with me and loves to snuggle, but also loves
to keep me awake with her playing and hyperactivity which comes out at night. She is still somewhat
skittish, especially with visitors, but she is getting more used to the noises of the seagulls,
trucks, boats, foghorn and such of The Fort.

I love her dearly and am so happy that CAAA took such good care of her before she found her "Mommy".

Here are a few pics with explanations:

07/21/11

I brought Miss Nikki to my home on March 24, 2011, and I can’t imagine my life without her. Nikki can be sweet and she can be silly, but at all times she maintains the princess qualities that suit her so well. We play a lot and sometime we just snuggle. She is getting used to riding in the convertible, but is quite stubborn about the doggles I have for her to protect her eyes. She is my best buddy and I am so glad to have her!!

Hey Everyone,

I just wanted to write and tell you all how well our cat "Muffin" has been she was only 3 months old when we got her. Her new name is Lola and she is the best cat we've ever had. We love her more than words could say. We have had her for a year as of July 25th. And she was a year old April 25th, she is the sweetest girl and has deffinantly mellowed with age but still loves to play, she'll knock anything small that you put on a table right on to the floor. She loves to attack feet in the morning so you get up faster and feed her. She took over one room in her house were she has a window seat and kitty tower. She was the only pet in our house for the remander of the summer and she is an indoor cat but my daughter got her a little pink harness and leash and brings her out in the back yard were she chases bugs around and watches birds. September first we got a puppy who she was not fond of at all at first but she has learned to tolerate her. We are so in love with her, she is such a great addition to our family. Thank you so much for helping us find such an amazing kittty.

Hello everyone at Cape Ann Animal Aid!

We wanted to give you a long overdue update on "Raiza" who we renamed Sophie! We adopted her on August 22, 2010 & we feel so blessed to have her in our lives! She is the sweetest, most loving little girl who is full of spunk & energy! She loves playing with all the other dogs at the park & swimming with us at the lake! When we first adopted her she was very shy & skittish & now she is a completely different dog! Always full of energy & up to do anything! We take her with us everywhere! I have to admit, she is pretty spoiled, she has her own little life jacket for swimming & plenty of clothes, too! We are so grateful to have her as part of our family & look forward to adopting her a brother or sister from Cape Ann, sometime in the near future!!

Lots of Love,

Bridget, Tony & Sophie

To Cape Ann Animal Aid:
Hope all is well. I just wanted to thank you again for all the help you provided in our adoption of “Brenda” last Friday. We have officially changed her name to “Winnie” and she is without a doubt, the greatest dog in the world. So smart and social and a dream with kids and other animals. She is also sleeping through the night on our bed (not in her crate, which lasted two howls) and is almost house-broken. She really likes Cambridge and is fast becoming a great city dog. (Although she loves biting the leash when we walk.) Your staff was totally professional and understanding and we have been singing your praises to all our friends and family. Please keep up the great work and I wanted to send along two photos – which are pasted in below – of Winnie. The first is Winnie in our kitchen. The second is Winnie sending out some e-mail with my daughter Neely, age 10 All the best,-Dave,

Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to let you all know that Ricky, now named “Buzz” is doing great in his new home. He has been here since February. One of his favorite things is to help me make the bed. His job is to bat down those evil covers as I pull them up into place! His favorite place is to sit on his chair in front of the first floor window of the condo and watch things outside. He talks a lot, cute, sort of like a record playing backwards.
He sends his best to all his friends at the shelter.

Bill

Thank you!
Bill

Hello to everyone at Cape Ann Animal Aid,

We wanted to send out a big THANK YOU to everyone who assisted us with our adoption and a quick update on our lovable pup Chili (formally named Gio). He is happy, healthy, and has settled in quite comfortably in our Boston home. He loves his many daily walks around the neighborhood, car rides, visits with family children, and if it ever stops raining (he's not a fan of the rain) we know he will adore hikes in the Blue Hills Reservation. He is particularly found of his squeeky toy i.e. Mr. Skunk pictured here after a game of catch. Chili is super affectionate, loves to cuddle, can't get enough belly rubs and is definitely a great addition to the family!!!

Thank you for all the good work you do,
Sarah and David
