Lilac's Story
lilac's face
We need your help to pay for Lilac's surgery.

Meet Lilac, a timid and sweet natured Poodle mix puppy with a congenital heart defect called Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA).  PDA is a surgically correctable condition but that correction requires specialty care and is very expense.

At Cape Ann Animal Aid, we believe that every animal deserves a chance and we are incredibly lucky that all of the doctors and staff at Cape Ann Veterinary Hospital agree.

Thanks to Cape Ann Veterinary Hospital, Lilac received the life-saving PDA surgery that she needed and is now recovering in a foster home.

To cover the expense of Lilac’s diagnostics, PDA surgery and recovery, we are asking for your help!

To date, the cost of Lilac’s veterinary care totals $1,700. If you would like make a donation to help cover the cost of Lilac’s life-saving surgery, please mail your tax-deductible contribution to:

We would like to thank Cape Ann Veterinay Hospital for consistently donating their time and skills to help homeless animals put their best paws forward. We are especially thankful to Jeff French DVM; Barbara Reid DVM; traveling veterinary surgeon, Dr. Michele Kudisch DVM, DACVS; and all the staff at CAVH for providing such excellent care to our special needs animals like Lilac.
