ESSEX COUNTY TRAIL ASSOCIATION EQUINE EXPO April 19th Topsfield Fairgrounds, Indoor Arena 9am-3pm
The CAAA had a booth at this year's Equine Expo! The event featured an indoor marketplace full of new and used horse & rider/driver items and services. We had a great time! Thank you to all who stopped by our booth to learn more about the Cape Ann Animal Aid and say hi to "Chow" an adoptable puppy from our shelter!
February 23rd 7pm to 11pm--The Elks at Bass Rocks, Gloucester, MA
The 5th Annual Winter Bash was a success! Attendees enjoyed a delicious buffet dinner by Peter's Causeway Restaurant and the cash bar. Many people danced late into the night with entertainment provided by DJ Leo Francis. All who won items in the silent auction featuring local artists and businesses as well as prizes through the balloon raffle and Lottery Ticket Raffle went home happy campers! Thank you to all who attended the event, and volunteers who donated their time, energy, and service. Last but not least, thank you to all of the businesses and individuals who donated auction and raffle prizes!

What a wonderful night! Attendees received a behind-the-scenes shelter tour, refreshments, and raffle prizes. Many of our guests also brought gifts for the shelter dogs and cats! If you couldn't make it, check out this video to see and hear what the CAAA is all about!

The CAAA Comedy was a real success! Comedians Paul D'Angello and Bob Siebel kept the crowd laughing! Seven lucky audience members won great raffle prizes including an iPod nano! Thank you to all who joined us for this fun evening and showed support for the CAAA!

Beautiful weather! Happy dogs! Food! Games! Contests! Raffles! That doesn't even begin to explain our 5th Annual Dog Day! Thank you to all who joined us as we celebrated dogs! Many took advantage of the nail-trimming and micro-chipping clinics and we had some tough competitors in the doggy games! Not to mention the crowd of people and dogs who strutted their stuff down Stacy Blvd. in the Parade of Paws. The staff and volunteers of CAAA, CARI, and Save-a-Sato look forward the the reunion every year. It is incredibly rewarding to see the happy animals and the smile on their new families' faces. The Cape Ann Animal Aid Best Dressed Cat Photo Contest was held during the Gloucester Waterfront Festival on August 18th and 19th at Stage Fort Park.
The eight entries received a total of 221 votes over the two days but with 41% of the votes entry #8 was the clear favorite. Congratulations to Nickie Barry and her human companions for winning this years contest. Enjoy your new cat toys!The 2007 Cape Ann Animal Aid Best Dressed Dog Parade was held on Saturday August 4th during the annual Sidewalk Bazaar. We had 18 festively and cleverly dressed canines participating and the final judging was very difficult. You can see for yourself by clicking on the link below.

The 2007 Sunset Cruise sailed from Captain Bill's Whale Watch on a perfect Saturday evening. The weather and sea conditions were so perfect that we went up the river and round Cape Ann which allowed for some wonderful sunset views. Plenty of good food, great company and over 50 raffle prizes all added up to a good time being had by all. See below for some of the pictures taken on the cruise.
